You Don't learn something until you see a need to know it. -Jean Piaget

Sick Child
Mary had a little lamb, she also had the flu.
And when she left her Day Care, the others had it too.
So anytime your child is sick, please keep her home with you.
Then all of the children in our Day Care will be happier and healthier too!

We will soon be getting into the Cold & Flu season (unfortunately). I want to take this time

to remind parents about our Sickness Policy.

Please keep sick & contagious children home! The Health Department regulations state that children will

not be allowed to attend daycare if they exhibit any or a combination of the following symptoms:

Fever over 100 degrees, Rash, Excessive Cold/Cough, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Lice or Nits,

Discharge from Eyes or Ears, Unusual Drowsiness, Persistent or Excessive Crying,

Communicable Disease (Pink Eye, Flu, etc). Children who display any of these symptoms while

in care must be picked up upon notification within 30 minutes

Please do not give your child Motrin/Tylenol in the morning to mask fever/sickness in order

to bring them to daycare! Fever Reducing medicine does not keep them from spreading germs to the

other children and childcare providers. Illness is inevitable, but must be contained as much

as possible. Help us to keep all of our kids (and teachers!!) germ free, and as happy and healthy as

possible by keeping your children home when they are sick.

**Children must be symptom, fever, & contagious free for a full 24 hours before returning to daycare.**

Young children are especially vulnerable to catching germs from others due to the fact

they put most everything in their mouths, they lack sufficient and/or consistent hygiene skills,

and they are in close proximty to other children daily.
